Getting the kids a Virtual Reality rig for Christmas, based on how much they love VR roller coaster games in arcades. Decided I should open it and hook it up ahead of time, to make sure it would work in the room since we don't have as much space as we're supposed to.

So now we have to hide it every day, then after the kids go to bed pull it all out of the box and hook it up so my wife and I can play Beat Saber

@rodhilton Beat Saber rules!!

It and Pistol Whip are all I do on that thing!

@mknepprath @rodhilton

@dogfox @mknepprath I tried Pistol Whip out and can't seem to figure out dodging lol

Oh! It only knows where your head is, so you only have to worry about that. The game will also pop up a red line pointing at a guy shooting at you if you are looking away from him.

If you mean dodging pillars and stuff, you gotta remember they have thickness (I still mess that up.)

@rodhilton @mknepprath

@rodhilton That's pretty much all I play with my Vive. It's a pretty good game and it doesn't need too much space (as they go). I have a fighting game I somehow got that really needs a large area to be fun.

I haven't managed to beat the Dragon Force song yet!

@rodhilton Beat Saber. Is. Awesome. I can recommend getting individual face gaskets, as sweating is definitely a real thing.
@falstro we're also really a joying synth riders.
@rodhilton haven't unpacked my valve index since i moved across the country, so i haven't played in like 2 years. But i recently moved again and I might just be able to set it up again in the new place
