OpenStreetMap is the premier source of open geo data, allowing you to take control of your maps. Rather than relying on a handful of tech corporations based in USA, you can host your own maps.

Why not switch away from the handful of US tech companies, to your own maps today? 🙂

I spent part of my walk yesterday updating and confirming details for OSM using Street Complete. It's a fun activity, although it must look a bit dodgy from an outsiders perspective.
@DodoTheDev @openstreetmap Have you found "Every Door" yet? ;-)
@derickr @openstreetmap
Yes, I've tried that too.
@DodoTheDev @openstreetmap It's addictive, isn't it? 😄
@derickr @openstreetmap
Almost too addictive. It's like Pokémon Go, but useful 🤣
@DodoTheDev @derickr @openstreetmap Ironically, given PoGo uses OSM data, you're doing an addictive OSM-based thing in service of another! 😂
@mattcen @derickr @openstreetmap
Oh wow, does it? That's pretty cool. Don't get me wrong, I like PoGo, but it's not as constructive as SC.

@mattcen Some people wanted to fix the PoGo maps, and found OSM and got hoooked on that instead 🤣

There's even an OSM Wiki page:
