Harnessing people power 💪

A study by Soroye et al., used a case study of #iNatualist to assess the potential of #CitizenScience in aiding conservation of threatened species.

The study found that although there was evidence of taxonomic bias towards 🐦birds, 🌿 plants & 🦦 mammals, CS data matched or even exceeded threatened species richness in some regions, with >20% of all iNat users contributing data threatened species!
