Years ago a Norwegian Green Party politician (Eivind Trædal) verbally shredded the hosts of a Norwegian live debate program for inviting extreme right wing folks to both-side a debate. Iirc he basically told the hosts that they were complicit in normalizing extremist views by giving these people an opportunity to put on a suit, pretend to be normal and pleasant, to sit in a studio speaking with an indoor voice, while they have public statements that are basically Nazi propaganda.

Whenever I see JD Vance I think of that.
