There is little point in sending anything of high value/ time sensitivity to journals : just #preprint so that people can see it, cite it , preserve it as "preliminary data" for grant applications and prevent being scooped (the downside of conference presentations without a preprint).

Even if none of the above applies to you, scientific publication costs money, money that is best spent on actual research activities that paying ransom to the publishing house rent seekers .
