Jelle Ziljstra, who is Jewish and works as a community organizer in Amsterdam, made a post that went viral on Instagram stating that “multiple truths can exist at the same time.” It highlighted both the assaults on Israelis and footage of the fans shouting “F— Palestine” the night before.

“There was definitely antisemitism involved in some of the events that took place,” Ziljstra said in an interview. “Were Jews attacked in the streets? Yes, but those Jews were also violent hooligans.”

They repeatedly attacked homes that hung Palestinian flags.Tthey chanted about burning Gaza children alive. Then they attacked a taxi driver which is what kicked it all off. Taxi driver network brought ~100 taxi drivers to protect the streets. The Israeli hooligans jumped into the canal and ran for the casino lobby when they showed up and told them to fuck off.

It's not antisemitism to fight fascists on your streets. It's not antisemitism to support Palestinians globally, locally. It's not antisemitism to protect your friends. colleagues and family from genocide committing fucks rampaging down your streets and attacking your community. The Muslim community showed up in solidarity. That is what happened.
