Zack TaylorOkay, for #Caturday I will post the complete winter cat shelter project. The purpose of this project was to replace this old cardboard wine case (14' x 15' x 18') with something more permanent #DIY #crafting
next I joined them with some more scrap stock and floored it with some basswood paneling
then I finished off and sealed the interior with more basswood panels. I made a door frame from some nice cherry stock I had leftover then papered it with reflective mylar
I found some insulation made of 100% cotton from recycled denim so I stuffed that in and then finished the exterior off with more panels. I gave it a coat of primer and clear coat to keep out moisture
then I placed it back outside replacing his heating pad and blankets. So this is how he'll be spending the winter
I will add a little flap some time next week
