This past Friday we boarded the Celebrity Reflection for a 3 night sailing. Like all shorter cruises it is a more party atmosphere than a typical Celebrity #cruise. This was my sister & her husband's first cruise. They really liked it so I hope we can go on more.
We did have a room problem and I will cover that in the next post.
We were staying in a Sky Suite 2152. BUT it was vibrating more so than any room I ever been in. It had to be a residency issue of running 1 engine & only at 4-7knots. Over 2 rooms in either direction & it went away. It was by far the oddest feeling as everything was in near perfect vibration.
Im sure one of us would have gotten motion sick laying in bed.
We asked to be moved if they could. We luckily were able to be put into an Aqua Class room for the night. The staff did not even question us or want proof of an issue. Clearly others had this issue.
They made us up a blank key and said to check back in the morning. The Guest Services staff was so helpful and very kind.
Oddly, we never thought to call our butler due to the time of the night. He was very clear we could have called him.
That night we took my sister & her husband to dinner at Illuminati, it was so good. Then was one of my fav events, the Silent Disco. They had never been and we had a great time. We did some window shopping & as @jonostrower says: "There is always an aviation angle"
We finish the tour in the bridge. The Second Officer was our speaker and he was great. Ran into him a number of times over the next 2 days and chatted a bit. Very nice guy.

Wrapping up the first #cruise day was some sushi at Sushi on 5, getting some drinks at the World Class Bar, and hitting up two dances. NOTE: I dance like a white man who has zero ability but I love going to them.
I am going to follow this post with two videos that will show the energy. The one in the Grand Foyer is one of their typical locations for a dance but the pool deck is a new one.
Well with that it is time to go home. We headed back to FLL and wanted to hang out for one last drink at Air Margaritaville but it was early so we passed.
If you fly out of FLL get a left side window seat for a chance of views of the #cruise port. Over all this was a great #CelebrityCruise. Short but fun. Looking forward to our next one.
