Things going through my mind while walking upstairs. I want to emphasize before I begin that I support the right of women to sell their eggs, be a surrogate, use a surrogate or someone else's eggs, give children up for adoption, adopt, etc. None of this is bad in itself, at all. When the social contract is fair, these are all wonderful things - gifts to one another.

Because I saw another meme with handmaidens in it, and I'm sick of them, because they give the impression what will happen to women in this country is visible. The Handmaiden's Tale isn't what this will look like. It will look like what it already is, so it won't be as obvious as bright red nun outfits that something has gone wrong. It won't look like anything has gone wrong at all.

And then there is this mess:
1. Project 2025 will undermine the women’s preventive health services provisions of the ACA by allowing misinformation and anti-science rhetoric to guide decision-making.
2. It will eliminate certain contraceptive methods from the ACA birth control benefit.
3. It will to allow any employer to get out of providing essential birth control coverage, for any reason.
4. It will make it harder for people to learn about and access birth control.

Less birth control, less regulation, less social safety net, less abortion rights, plus increasing economic inequality, plus a recession equals pressure on poor women to protect those they love any way they can. Yes, women will be choosing it.

It will hurt minority women the most. It's not just patriarchy, it's white nationalism too.

Fair warning, if your comment so much as makes me twitch I'll block you. I've got too much fighting to do to bother with wrong people.
