American sisters - you are now living in a fascist country. Things will get ugly very quickly. TAKE THESE STEPS NOW:
1) Stop periods apps
First, delete all data from your period apps, then your account, then delete the app itself. Write your history on paper if you need it.

It has a shelf life of 4 years. Get it and store it at a safe place. Share with women in need. Buy it even if you’re older and SHARE.
3) Longterm birth control
Get your tubes tied. Or a copper IUD that holds for 12 years, hormonal ones will be banned. Don't get pregnant.

4) Leave your Trump-voting partner.
He put his interests over your human rights, your survival and your well-being. HE SOLD YOU OUT because he thinks you're inferior. He's a danger to you.

5) Considering divorce anyway? DO IT NOW.
No-fault divorce will be gone soon. If you have pondered getting divorced from your partner for any reason, start the proceedings immediately. You don't know how long you'll have this possibility at all.

6) Not married yet? DONT DO IT.
Trump's admin will trap you. You will be your husband's chattel. He will have carte blanche to do with you as he wishes. DON'T.
Alternately, marry a gay friend if you have one - it’ll protect you both.

7) Self-protection
Learn / purchase / acquire means to protect yourself. You know what I mean. Buy, get a license, train. Store safely or keep on you.
Learn self-defense.
THINGS WILL GET WORSE. Actually, it has already started.

8) Get a passport, maybe leave the country.
F.e. Germany - You can hop on a plane tomorrow for 90 days without a visa. Here, apply for a German Language Course visa (for 1 year). At C1 level proficiency in German, you are eligable for citizenship after 3 years.

9) Build contingency plans.
Time to sit down with your loved ones or by yourself to have a serious conversation:
"If it gets to this point, if this happens in the news/in Congress/by executive order, we're / I'm going to do this." They have plans for many groups of people, know what they are.

10) Have emergency contacts.
If stuff happens and you need support, know who you can contact that YOU CAN TRUST.
Anyone not aligning 150% with your political view and believes in them, is a potential enemy, regardless of blood relation or longtime friendship.
