In an argument with a coworker, he said the UK shouldn’t provide free healthcare for unemployed people; it ‘should’ be statutory but worse than what jobs provide, as incentive to make them work. I asked about disabled people. “They will be taken care of (someone else will figure it out)”.

“What about undiagnosed disabled people? Most unemployed people have care needs that are not handled by work.”

Aaaaaaand he shut off at that point because he was angry at poor people for having needs he didn’t care about understanding.
