I think we should all start calling computers "microcomputers" again just to confuse young people.
One of the air conditioners in my house is from like 1988 and is proudly labeled "Micro-Computer Air Conditioner". We could have all sorts of microcomputer appliances.
Some day I will have to crack that thing open and see what kind of processor it has. I mean, what kind of microprocessor it has.
@txgx42 I was saying the other day that we should call smart phones "nanocomputers", to complete the minicomputer -> microcomputer line
@foone @txgx42 That would require a nanoprocessor though 🤪🤪🤪
@48kRAM @foone @txgx42 given that when they were introduced the lithographic features or microprocessors were measured in micrometers, i think we can safely say that threshold was passed a while ago ;-)

@foone @txgx42 Smart watches are then picocomputers?

Secondary question: what's the Planck length of computing?

@txgx42 and we should start calling processors microprocessors
@txgx42 does that mean that we are old, since it wouldn't confuse us as we are computer history nerds
