I am also reminded on this trip that my #travel #handbag is really just too small, and I need a new one that is substantially larger. I'm going to go with the latest version of the Timbuk2 messenger bag, size small (which is still rather large). I'll pack it flat in my other #luggage during flights.
Oh, also, I really need to replace my lost J-hook for my Travelpro Platinum II rollaboard. I'm using a 12" bungee cord at the moment, and it's not ideal.
I never used to bother using a J-hook much, because having my flight tote on top of my #rollaboard makes it easier to get my bags between the seats on regional rail #trains, but it's very top-heavy, tiring, and hard to control
When you have a long way to #travel, using a J-hook gets the flight tote down lower, and shifts the center of gravity dramatically, making walking much easier through #airports, etc. That's why you'll see all the flight crew members use them on their #luggage.
