We're off to Parramatta for Mamak with @rfernandez, and it's SUCH a glorious day that we walked to the train station. Nice to see the sheep still around, for the moment at least.

As always Mamak was excellent, and it was lovely to meet @rfernandez in person!

(Although I think @rfernandez's choice of dessert was... not excellent. 😅)

I love all the Diwali lights all the Indian families have out at this time of year, and then as a bonus they can just keep them on through December and suddenly they're Christmas lights!
@virtualwolf I notice that there are no trees (except the big silhouette of one in the back). Is that typical for the ecosystem of where you live?
@alysonsee This is a brand-new development (the space that that street and all those houses are on was like... two lots of land with a single house on each, this used to be the semi-rural outskirts). We've got plenty of trees around our house but our area was built in the mid-90s so there has been plenty of time for them to grow. Plus these new places are on much smaller blocks as well, so less room for trees to begin with. :\
@virtualwolf I’m glad you’ve got trees. They can make or break a place.
