BREAKING: 11,000 young South Carolinians won't be able to cast a ballot this year after a judge declined to fix an error that wrongfully denied the registrations of those who were 17-years-old when they registered but would be 18 by Election Day.-- Democracy Docket

@GottaLaff disenfranchisement in action. Time for quick appeal!
@sigsegv To whom? Trump's court?
@GottaLaff not trying only guarantees a loss. Maybe the ruling gets overturned on appeal and even survives the trip to SCOTUS.

@GottaLaff but, as a state issue, this would only go to the state level top court and not SCOTUS so is it even fair to say that Trump’s court would hear the case? (If I’m understanding jurisdiction)

I’m a little surprised to hear the defeatism coming from you. You’ve pushed back on me for similar negative thoughts and I thank you for that.

We need to keep up the fight. Push until we can’t. GOP want us to tire and quit.

Let’s not play by their rules.

@sigsegv Not defeatism, realism. It's South Carolina. And I never said NOT to appeal. I was suggesting the likelihood of getting a fair ruling might be low.

I've never quit in my life.

@GottaLaff ok. I interpreted your comment to imply that appeal is a waste of time. We’re on the same page.

@sigsegv Oh, never never. It’s NEVER a waste of time. I just don’t feel particularly optimistic about it.

Thank you.
