@wdlindsy news outlets are essentially forced to walk a tightrope with trump. Trump is an enabler of hyper-extremists. But. The movement he represents has been smearing all media but the most extremely far-right as "liberal". So. In order to try to maintain general credibility, they have to try to pretend trump is ... Normal.
Vs kamala, who is a perfectly normal well-adapted adult with fairly ordinary political views.
So theyre reporting them both as 'equals'.
