I watched two news reports from BC newscasts yesterday where they mentioned the ongoing process of the #BCElxn2024. BOTH stations gave the impression that the new electronic ballot counters somehow failed to deliver a quick result. In fact I have yet to hear a report that did not mention that as a problem, if not *the* problem.

THIS IS WRONG

The delay has absolutely nothing to do with the ballot counters. NOTHING

If we had the same process as before, hand counting the ballots, we would be in EXACTLY the same position. Just as we were in 2017!

The fact is, not all ballots are counted on election night, regardless of the system used to count them because not all ballots are cast in the same place. It has always been that way. So if the results are very close, we wait a week for all the ballots to come in from everywhere they are cast all over the province!

That's it. That's all they have to say!
