Oh, come the fuck on. Power just went out. Almost the same time as yesterday.

And if it lasts just as long as yesterday, I’m about to spend four hours in the dark again.

And of course, there’s a water outage too, so I can’t even pass the time by washing the dishes or doing my laundry.

And all of my current drawing WIPs are on my computer.

@erkhyan You might benefit from the use of Syncthing to sync files like that between your devices. The program functions in a decentralized manner, and can also function within the context of a local network even if access to the Internet is down.

(Based on the reported experience of another Mastodon user, you may want to ensure that "file versioning" is enabled so as to facilitate recovery if something doesn't go right.)

@redyoshi49q I already have Syncthing set up between my phones and computers. The thing is: once power is out, there is simply no device to sync anything to.

Desktop computer is out, laptop’s battery is dead, and the phones do not support my main drawing program (not to mention tiny screens).
