A lot of people are suddenly discovering that Bitwarden has a really weird project structure called Open Core, and are getting very confused about it
@BrodieOnLinux wait till they discover that GitLab, IntelliJ, and many others also use open core
@BrodieOnLinux I was one of the slightly concerned ones, Bitwarden has confirmed that the SDK as a *dependency* is a bug and will be fixed
@BrodieOnLinux I read this half way and initially thought "wait, Bitwarden allows me to run recent macOS on my legacy Mac?"

@Semmelstulle @BrodieOnLinux Or they make open source HDL IP cores, which would also be surprising and confusing.

@BrodieOnLinux Open core implies that you can use the open source version of the project but there's a proprietary version with extra features. The SDK is proprietary, and a necessary part for using the software in any way, from what I can tell. This is not open sore, this is just proprietary software where select parts have been made open source.
