Preparing for conference travel next year the smartest way I know of: at the pharmacy, getting a bunch of vaccine boosters. Kudos to watchOS for spotting the change this morning!
@twostraws I’m impressed that they gave you that many at once. Here I would have had to go back at least thrice.
@designatednerd @twostraws My pharmacy maxes at three. Last year I got COVID, flu, and RSV together and went back for pneumonia. This year I got COVID and flu together and they didn't stock mpox and told me to get it prophylactically if I contracted it (which they felt unlikely)
@dimsumthinking @twostraws yeah my doc made me get pneumonia by itself (since I have asthma) and man I got the biggest itchiest welt at the injection site a few days later.
@designatednerd sorry to hear that
@dimsumthinking I mean it was fine (and apparently a delayed injection site reaction is expected with the pneumonia vaccine)
@designatednerd Yeah, there are precise rules – they have a sort of Venn diagram, but I think the main question is active or deactivated. This is only the first batch!
@twostraws yeah depending on where you’re going it can be a real smorgasbord
@twostraws Phew, I thought you were doing some pre-conference heroin.

@twostraws

I feel like it is kind of cute that Apple says you're above average.
