I don't think younger people could comprehend how many CD ROMs there used to be. On magazines, pushed through your door, on racks in corner shops. CD ROMs everywhere

I have a, still shrink-wrapped, AOL disc in a metal box, like an Altoids tin, the address it was bulk mailed to printed right on the box.

I found an eBay listing for the same one, you can see related listings for similar boxes with completely different graphics even for the same AOL version.

It's AOL 7.0 so that means it's from 2002, 8.0 came out in late 2002.
