I'm intrigued by the notion of a Wayback Machine that would NOT be read-only. If you have the ability to go back in time and change things, can't you just rewrite the part of history where this fiasco happened? :)
Anyway, thanks to all for the effort put in. I also hereby renew my call to put a Donate button on the archive.org interim landing page.
It appears they're just not accepting requests to archive pages not already archived, making it read-only.
Not as fun as my interpretation, but far more likely. :)
In any case, they added a donate option archive.org, which is nice.
