This just shows Everett walking away. He doesn't need tons of money, let alone ill gotten gains from money that he had borrowed or stolen to use.
This is Everett saying "fuck off."
Sewer_KingI saw it this way too. Money is important for stability which is why he looks so glum, instead of taking the payout of a lifetime he did the right thing in his eyes and walked away. I know I would have a lot of conflicted feelings if I were in his shoes.
