Reposting without the NSFW tags, because I realized I was interested in the #scifi and not the #erotica here.

#Octransfur 9 was apparently Space, and seeing the #Avali stuff people posted for that made me think of an idea for #Modders (my #SciFiErotica setting), so have some #microfiction about #transformation, and #xenophilia.

"So I'll see you in the Cloud?" Jack asked, hanging his shirt and lanyard (the only clothes he'd been wearing) next to the backroom chamber, fully undressed for a brain upload.

"Yeah, I've got a split-instance of myself doing prepwork." Nuki responded, poking at a , "I always consolidate my forks before I transmit long distance: analog net isn't as reliable as digital, especially off-planet, and we need high-fidelity, so we might not get a return window as quickly as we want..." she glanced up, "Still sure you want to go on this mission? I can still get another non-organic to volunteer..."

He shook his head, "I wanna go to space. Trying new things was literally my 'character arc' when I first showed up, remember?" he chuckled, "I don't suppose you could do that fork thing with me though..."

She shook her head, "It's not forking that's the problem, it's reconciling when you want to re-integrate. They have reliable internet out there, not the fastest but still well over the gigabit connection on your phone, so you should still be able to use the Virtual World to interact with people down here. We have to go up in twenty to forty minutes though, otherwise we'd have to transfer through the sub-pacific to the African relays to get ahead of the orbit and wait for it to come around, and that's all a huge hassle."

"Alright... And you said there's bodies up there for us?"

"Yeah, Synthvali. They print them around pre-made frames in orbit, and they're pretty customizable if you don't like anything about them, beyond the Avali morphology of course."

"So... I leave my body here in the shop's stasis and go wait in the simulation on the relay, and a backup will stay behind?" He asked, stepping into the chamber.

Nuki nodded, "Everyone gets backed up automatically whenever they transfer through the Relays. If something catastrophic enough to kill you happens up there, you'll wake up back here and not remember leaving."

"Alright, well, I guess I'll go ahead and get along then, if there's nothing else."

"There is, but like I said, I already have an instance of myself waiting on the Relay."

He nodded, "Right... Gotta remember what you can do on the Cloud... Alright, see you there." he hit the button, and the chamber door closed. His vision filled with white light as the fields engaged, his body tingling as usual. He felt himself begin to levitate just before he lost all feeling, and his senses went to nothing...

Continuing my #Scifi #Transformation #microfiction about #furries in the 2120s using their #BrainUploading machine to go to space...

Set in the world of #Modders, but no explicit erotica planned for this one...

Jack felt the world phasing in around him, the different sensations coming in slowly as the lights came on in the room he was in, a mechanism meant to avoid overwhelming a user when they first entered a space, adapted from the slow load-times of the primitive simulated spaces of the early 21st century.

There was something distinctly crisp about the virtual world, as realistic analog senses were replaced by simulated digital ones. Without the limitations of reality, and no reason to dull the senses, it always had a "too vivid to be real" aspect to it. If this didn't make it obvious, the floating text would have...

"Joined Space Habitat Simulator - Departure Acclimation on Baja Space Transmitter Relay as Werewolf Jack"

He glanced down at his hand, based on a recent scan of his physical body: it still looked like his own, but here, the fur on the back has an uncanny perfection to it, the deep raycasting making the reflectivity of his metal claws a bit unrealistically precise.

He heard the clicking of the doors in front of him, and he looked back up as they whirred open.

On the other side stood two grey Avali made of synthetic materials, one dull gray, standing totally still with darkened eyes, the other with unique black and white markings along its body, and vibrant blue and green feathers, holding a standard virtual interface panel which contrasted with the otherwise realistic rendering.

"Hey, Jack," the controlled Synthvali said with Nuki's voice, "Welcome to the Space Habitat sim on Baja's Offworld relay."

"Hey Nuki, you were saying..." Jack stopped as he realized something, "Wait, do you remember what you just told me?"

She shook her head, "Nope, different instance. Last I remember I went over the procedures with you and you left for the day. Do you remember my explanation of the acclimation process?"

"Yeah, I pop into that avatar and try it out, right?"

She nodded, holding up the interface, "And we use this to make any adjustments you want. Just remember, this thing's designed to be one-meter tall, and the maximum height configuration is one-point-five meters. I know you like to be big, but make sure you're aware of the tradeoff.

He nodded, reaching out his arm to point at the empty Avali, then stopped, looking at his hand again.

"Something off?" she asked.

"No gravity." he said, "Just not used to it."

"Be lucky you're not going up there with your organic body: I hear it messes with the colonists' nervous systems, makes them feel like they're in constant freefall. They have to spend a few days in anti-grav just to make sure they can handle it."
