I have two #ieeevis things today:

- in the “morning” block I’m on a vis in practice panel discussing issues relating to research/practice barriers. (Can zines save us???? Maybe??)
- in the “afternoon” block we’re hosting a workshop on sustainability in vis (and sustainability for vis) called VISions. It includes a rad keynote from noted future/sustainability thinker/overall smart person Neha Kumar

@mcnutt when @arvindsatya "blows up" the workshop/associated events model in 2026, we gotta do something about the fact that cramming workshops into the first two days means that everybody gets overbooked and either does musical chairs session hopping or ends up missing a bunch of important stuff

@Birdbassador @arvindsatya i would love to see workshops integrated into the main program, the way that chi currently/used to put associated events in with the main program (e.g. altchi/SIGs/etc)

@mcnutt @Birdbassador I have lots of thoughts on workshops……..
