If (and its a big if) road pricing is coming... unless it is pretty comprehensive it will drive traffic onto more obscure routes & backroads to avoid the billing surveillance posited...

While I can see the logic of road pricing, as a replacement for the current model of road tax, it also looks like being not just a difficult political sell, but an enormous project with the prospect of a interim period of chaos.

Its not going to be pretty however it plays out.
