@itsfoss But TBH (I'm using Mac and Linux) it's very convenient to have an auto installer on a Macbook so you can easy download and install the latest OS just by 2-3 clicks instead of downloading the image, creating bootable USB stick etc.
If you need a clean-install it's very convenient.

I agree that you have some kind of lock-in anyway :)

@mbeddedDev @itsfoss Fedora installation is insanely easy. The programme downloads the img and flashes the usb stick forya, and the installation is basicaly automatic. Fedora is the best

@wirlie Oh interesting to know! I just saw some tool for raspberry which prepares everything out of the box with some nice dialogs so you can configure your image and start right away after flashing

@mbeddedDev @itsfoss yo check out ZorinOS, it is able to self-updte without creating bootable USB :)
