@arstechnica Musk and his twitter debacle show he doesn't understand what free speech vs free press is. His confusing these two goes a long way to understanding why twitter has lost about 75% of its purchase price of 44.5+2.5 billion closing fees, down to around 10 billion. What musk wanted was to change Twitter's editorial policies to allow right wing trolls and conspiracy nuts, which Musk likes. A media corporation has freedom of press, not speech. That freedom is a state legal construct.
