The festival will open with "Dans une sorte de rêve éveillé" by Philippe-Aubert Gauthier + Tanya St-Pierre.
Fires of color and drips of arrangement. Hue, saturation, value and color change are the imposed pilots of an assembly of synthesized sounds. A surge, alternating video themes with purely sonic and noisy improvisations.

Aubes by Alexis Langevin-Tétrault + Guillaume Côté is an audiovisual performance in the aesthetic continuity and hatched rhythm of artists who have engraved directly on analog film, such as than Stan Brakhage and Norman McLaren, but with a sensitivity and color palette similar to the work of the pioneer of minimalist art Agnes Martin. The sound composition consists of exuberant, dynamic and varied sound synthesis, while the visual is created using only evolving and unpredictable noise generators.

In Floris Vanhoof's performance, a laser will shine through soap bubbles as two diodes listen to the lightwaves that bent through the ever changing surfaces.
Bursting bubbles will make dynamic pops, while photons diffracted through microscopic movements of liquid soap make glissandi.

On the two days of the IF festival, PeterKristinn will be cooking a reinterpretation of Québec's iconic poutine, featuring lacto-fermented french fries.
Developed during a residency at iMAL under the mentorship of CREW, Letta's "Чули? Чули" merges performative video gameplay with choreography to delve into manipulative narratives and the embodiment of online personas.

Myriam Bleau & Pierce Warnecke's "The End Product" will follow a user’s scroll through their personal commodified feedscape, deceptively blurring the performative codes between artists and audience, and their networked interaction, hinting at another presence behind the likes, the posts and the selfies.

And we'll close our festival with a performance by Clarice Calvo-Pinsolle. Muescence is a soundscape born of the interaction between water and earth.
Water is gently poured over fragments of sandstone, releasing air. This phenomenon, this change of state, is captured and amplified using hydrophones, then processed live.
