パトリック．プーンIt’s such an honour to be invited by Amnesty International Japan to share my experience as a former China Researcher of Amnesty International on being part of the team to monitor the protests in #HongKong.
By referencing Amnesty’s current global campaign on #ProtecttheProtest, I shared how my colleagues and I monitored police handling of the #UmbrellaMovement and the #AntiExtraditionBillProtests, in particular monitoring whether police applied excessive force in dispersal of the protesters and in arresting protesters with reference to the relevant international human rights law.
