On Halloween we're going to be running a spooky games party in the evening.

In previous years we've got together over discord to play spooky games together (usually one person streaming while everyone else watches and offers suggestions, encouragement, etc.). This will be a similar deal, only in-person and open to the public.

On the afternoon of Saturday 2nd November we'll be running an Arcadia Playful Design workshop.

This will be a chill, drop-in-style workshop: I'll be running my game 'making it up as we go along', James Morwood will be running a choose-your-own-adventure zine-makng workshop, and Claire Morwood will be running a collaborative bitsy workshop.

We've run this workshop once before for Dundee Design Week (see here: https://www.niallmoody.com/work/arcadia-playful-design-workshop/)

This will be an evening of microtalks by biome members and friends of biome, some live music, and some games. If you've been to an Arcadia event before you probably know the deal.

Finally, on the evening of Monday 4th November, I'm going to be giving an interactive talk titled 'A Yet-Unforeclosed Possibility of Freedom and Joy'.

I'm going to talk about old game dev subcultures and argue for the necessity of spaces that do not revolve around 'hard work', 'success', or your ability to produce on demand. And as part of it, we're going to make a game together in Klik & Play.
