PyConZA (za.pycon.org) was my first in-person conference in more than a decade and I loved it! I gave a talk (https://za.pycon.org/talks/33-level-up-your-developer-experience-with-kubernetes/) that was well received, met amazing people and enjoyed the high-bandwidth in-person knowledge exchange.

I was impressed with all the presentations by the City of Cape Town, especially how they are making APIs available for public use, and left inspired by Cory's @czue talk on making a living as an Indy Hacker.
