We have reached the point of tour where I’m like
On one hand. I really wanna go say hi to the beach, I love the beach. Maybe get a lil coffee coz this plunger coffee is awful.
Otoh I really do not want to put outside clothes on or interact with humans. Any humans. Will still acknowledge doggos though
Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely adore my tour pals - I’m gunna miss them a bunch when we wrap at the end of this month
But
The last three days have been like 0900 til 2300 with people, lots of talking and thinking, and a lot of lil political games and posturing as we try to say the right things to get invited to future festivals.
And that’s been our Wednesdays through Saturdays for the last month or so
I am fucking /wiped/

Tomorrow is a travel day, all heading homewards til our next stop in Whakatū Nelson to open Arts Fest
And I tell you what
Once I get off that plane, my plan is to not talk to anyone other than Pie and my sweetheart until at least Monday. Maybe Tuesday if I’m lucky 😂
…except maybe to order coffee I guess

Tomorrow’s flight for me is to Tāmaki Makaurau, we’re playing Whakatū the 25th & 26th. It’s a weird gap but it’s worked well around other mahi 🤷🏽
