Celcius is easy to explain:
-10ºC = Brass balls weather (ie. freeze the balls off one)
0ºC = freezing
10ºC = cold
20ºC = warm
30ºC = hot
40ºC = too hot
50ºC = scalding hot
60ºC = you die
70ºC = you're well done (as in cooked)
80ºC = your alcohol has evaporated
90ºC = you can make a good cup of coffee
100ºC = water boils
