My cat thinks he needs to herd me. If I’m in the living room past ten he starts in. First mumbling under his breath, clearing his throat and loudly Mrrping and then the Yips. Short piercing one syllable yawls with the shrill of an alarm clock. Then when I do go to bed and stop in the bathroom he’s already in the bedroom mumbling under his breath. Then he pokes his head in the bathroom to glare as if I’m a recalcitrant sheep. Cats!
