Will chill from Twitter/X until after the US elections. Almost all the hate Godot got over the weekend was pretty much people who had not a clue what a game engine is, what Godot is, or what a FOSS / community made project is. Most of the ones who did were the usual haters.

Checking profile of haters, majority pro-trump people with weird religious symbology, or people with avatars/obsession for anime little girls.

Sometimes I feel I am too innocent for this world.

@reduz I feel like weird toxic voices are always in games. I remember "you can't make a real game if you can't make a game engine" "you can't make a real game in that game engine" "mobile games won't succeed" &c

For awhile it did negatively impact my mental state (and this was pre-Twitter PHPBB days)... I suppose it did force me to learn to the things, but now everyone makes Unity Mobile games (and hopefully soon everyone will be making Godot mobile games) 😂

@pux0r3 I think you are right, but in large its likely because of the very young audience. A lot of these people and influencers were clearly aiming for <25.
@reduz it's definitely super frustrating too. My career took a turn into helping as many people make games as possible (ish, I could do better). And I hate arbitrary the gate keeping that crops up!
