@yassie_j I've seen people do this irl but in reverse. English isn't my first language or the national language of my country, but the younger generation (including me, honestly), will just straight up drop english words/phrases when there are native ones that work just fine.
Not to say the way latinos are written in movies is not weird or lazy but yeah.

@CanisMajoris yeah totally, there’s a difference between code-switching and word adoption (which happens naturally), versus the Hollywood tactic of “random foreign words to make the character look exotic”
