Thing about American transphobia is it has nothing to do with being #trans, we're just small enough population enough to be a great target & most people don't understand us

Most anti trans stuff is just reheated anti women or anti gay

And yes, it will and has affected cis women

They don't just want to refuse trans health care. They want to refuse "elective" (eventually, all) health care

They want to be able to tear down any woman at any point. Easy AF when all they have to say is "trans".

We're 0.6% of the population and actually clinically very well understood. It's a very well trodden and "boring" aspect of psychology (you want your health to be boring, lol)

It is simply not reasonable for anyone to focus this much on us. Even if it weren't Nazi shit, we're so rare and affect things so little. It's nuts. Disgusting.

BTW if you "don't 'get' trans", there's a lot I could say to explain but frankly it doesn't matter as long as you get these right:

- Name
- Pronouns
- Don't be a dick

Nobody's gonna freak out if you fuck up, honestly, most of us are too timid to point it out unless it's a good friend & private.

And no like 99% of trans people do not use neopronouns, nothing against them but that whole discussion is fake as hell, >99% of the time he, she, or they is perfectly fine.

@sertaptap am nonbinary. Can confirm: my friends are caring but they’ve literally only met me who uses neopronouns!

@MxVerda At "worst" neoprounouns are no more specific than a name anyway but it's just...not common enough to bitch about.

The only time I saw them semi-frequently was, of all places, Genshin Impact roleplay on Twitter and I'm sure that's because they were mostly Very Online Teens hyper aware of all of that stuff, and almost all of them included he/she/they as an option anyway.

Even then it was a pretty limited set. I think I saw a couple Its a few Fae and that's about all I recall.

@MxVerda And tbh, Xi/xir (i think) sorta predates the current acceptance of They (tho I do prefer They in general. Unavoidable but, I've "retroactively misgendered" people, including myself, in old youtube videos because I sued their at-the-time pronouns instead of They)
