I constantly switch notetaking apps. I decided to write about my current setup even though I told myself to stop doing that and maybe just write good notes instead.

I switch notetaking apps constantly and I’m trying to stop doing that. Here’s my compromise—I'm allowed any app that handles a folder of files.

@bw I hate that I am no longer on a folder-a-files, but I'm trying to be faithful to Bear. It just seems like the simplest to use.
@mhilltopple Yeah that's fair. The good thing about Bear is that it exports to markdown files pretty easily.
@bw just curious, have you looked at Joplin?
@efeldhusen Oh cool, I haven’t seen that one.
@bw It might fit your needs from what you described fairly closely.

@bw

I was also Note App hoping, I still use Obsidian every now and then.

My go to notes now are Vim + folder-of-files. For syncing I use git.

@bw Try logseq
Best of all apps I've tried so far - obsidian, joplin, roam, org-mode
