I am guessing it is because of the age of these people and the stereotype that it is only young people that play video games.
The media and advertising gives such a false image of players both gender and age.
When I talk to teenage people about video games they often find it strange to hear that I play. I then ask them at what age they plan to stop playing. I for one plan to play until the day I die.

I want to be clear, that I do not think that gaming is only for young people. I don't find it funny when older people play games.
the reason why I said it sounds like a joke, was bc the whole setup on the page and the names came off as satire for me. but I didn't specify this when I posted. it was bound to happen that me being this unclear could hurt someone.
