If you are going to vote by mail, please mail your vote early. As soon as you get the ballot fill it out and send it back. Fill it out with care and read the directions carefully. I've been reading about a lot of legal fighting about how ballots will be counted. Republicans don't want ballots that arrive after election day to count. This ought not happen, but it's best to just get it over with.

Abundance of caution.

@futurebird Also, getting it done gets you removed from the rolls the get-out-the-vote and campaign people work from, so they can focus on those who didn't vote yet.

@martinvermeer @futurebird I do not trust campaigns to have checked the "ballot received" list.

So I took the "I voted" sticker that came with my ballot and stuck it on my mailbox.

@michael_w_busch @futurebird Indeed not all campaigns do this.

@martinvermeer @futurebird Campaigning has been pretty intense in my neighborhood for a town that we all know will go for Harris, Walz, and the Democratic Congressional candidates by a margin of at least 3 to 1.

But I suspect that is because of state legislature and judicial elections down-ballot.
