@bdudney No, that's Cthulhu. Cthulhu is apparently the source of constant subconscious anxiety for all mankind, and is also the object of worship, both by many human cults and by other Lovecraftian monsters Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

@rcs I've got the excellent first edition, and would like to get the second edition, too, for C23. But the sample chapter on nostarch's web site doesn't cover all that much C23 (that I can see).

Could you give a high-level diff between the first and second editions?

@sten The 1st edition is 274 pp and 2nd edition is 314 pp so I definitely added something. :) In addition to updating for C23 which is scattered throughout the book we reworked many of the examples. I remember making substantial changes to the floating point sections. I think a lot of the rest of it I've already blocked out of my memory. 😅
