Wilbur@josh how did the AV1/opus encoding go (I think it was you) because I've been going down the same route and now ffmpeg is telling me it'll be 28 hours for 5 minutes of video...
josh://@wilbur haha yeah AV1 is still pretty slow but it's getting faster all the time. I use Handbrake (which I believe uses ffmpeg under the hood. There's a setting that controls speed with slight quality trade off. Set that to a reasonable level. My AMD 5700x3D does a 4k film in a few hours now. The new GPUs are coming out with hardware encoding too. Good luck!
