Movement(tm)

Another satisfactory fan comic cuz ive been fixating a bit on the game lol

@AzulCrescent I fucking love satisfactory Schmovement so much
@AzulCrescent I started playing around with power towers last night and the game finally clicked for me. Ziplining past a nest of giant stingers that you absolutely should not be angering feels incredible

@AzulCrescent "factories with movement" remind me of David Macaulay's book "The way things work", which i had as a child. all kinds of melons and tomatoes roll down funnels and get catapulted elsewhere, in there. and mammoths are involved.

(ok, my description probably sounds a bit strange, but it was a nice book)

@AzulCrescent Josh really revolutionised Satisfactory transport with those vacuum canons
@AzulCrescent the last panel reminds me of that silly "this factory is powered by jumping trains" someone did in one of the other popular factory games before
@AzulCrescent Have you tried Titanfall 2 by any chance? I think you'll really enjoy the movement. The titular titans are big and stompy, but much of the game is spent as a pilot. Every pilot can double jump and wallrun, and a couple classes get an extra boost. There's even a level in the campaign that is just to speedrun an obstacle course (with an in-game clock and leaderboard!) Plus, these days it goes on sale fairly frequently; for instance it's currently under $5 on Steam.

@AzulCrescent I should also note for anyone getting into it who's interested in multiplayer: there's a modded client called Northstar that lets you connect to third party (often modded) servers. The official servers are nice when they work, but when I played that was getting increasingly rare, and it's been a year or two.

The singleplayer campaign works even when the official servers don't! (I hate that this bears mentioning.)
