Heat pumps are a relatively easy way to shift home heating for single-family homes away from planet-heating fossil fuels. But it's not so straightforward to make the switch for large buildings, particularly residential properties like apartments and condos.

The Dutch are implementing district heating based on district heat pumps that recapture waste heat from sewage (a more comprehensive approach would be #DistrictThermalNetworks ) - much more efficient than multiple Air Source Heat Pumps

An advantage for multi unit buildings - potentially a much smaller footprint.

Not sure why this is not being evaluated more in North America
