Jen@quixoticgeek every now and then someone here says that more busses on quiet routes isn't worth doing environmentally because you're just moving air, and I'm over here like, "run smaller busses?" But apparently that's somehow impossible because busses only come in one size. It's almost like gaslighting over the 23-seaters I rode regularly as a kid. And apparently nothing can be done about busy routes being packed because double deckers aren't real.
Wilfried Klaebe@JetlagJen The iconic VW "Bus" has eight passenger spaces. I remember 15- and 25-seaters. I know of Setra buses with 31 rows of seats (which suggests about 120 passenger seats). There's some size for every need. And if the biggest size is not enough, just run more.
