out of the same „MUST HAVE NOW!“ instinct I found out yesterday that doing the device-to-device transfer still needs an internet connection for both devices… 1) don‘t leave WiFi with transfer ongoing, 2) dont tether to a third phone during the second try whilst in the car, because that phone will link to carplay and stop tethering… 3) family will not join your celebration dance when the third try finally succeeded whilst out for dinner.
