I love puns and silly jokes. But most "story-based" jokes are so illogical and dumb that they just aren't funny to me. I often find myself asking "huh, but why would they do that? It doesn't make sense" and generally people look at me quite puzzled then.

Many "jokes" are also outright racist/sexist and aren't funny at all.
