The SETI Institute announced its first Artist-in-Residence (AIR) STEAM education residency and open call. The Beyond Silos residency combines the SETI AIR program’s focus on creative practice based on research with the SETI Institute’s strong commitment to education and outreach. The Beyond Silos residency gives art educators financial support and resources to create a STEAM Education project for K-12 students. The submission deadline is October 15, 2024.

@setiinstitute if you’re trying to attract artists, consider commissioning a real artist for your header image instead of using ai-generated content. artists are pretty unanimous in their distaste for plagiarism machines. and it’s ugly.
