Hidden fairy bridge in Glen Creran Scotland. A steep walk up in a wooded valley, but the reward is quite magical. Posted on my previous server, posting again for toot.wales!#MyOccasionalBridges #bridge #fairy #BridgesOfMastodon #FediverseBridges #Scotland
@NickF Sorry, but putting Mastodon as a term in hashtags is exclusionary.
The Fediverse consists of much more than just Mastodon, as the picture shows. These are instances connected to our instance and the software that runs on them.

I love holidaying in the UK and have always found it inclusive, unless the posts are only for people in the Fediverse who access it with mastodon
@crossgolf_rebel Okay ‘bridges of mastodon’ is just a hashtag that has been in use for a few years, I used it as people follow the hashtag with an interest in bridges. I understand the Fediverse, I just terminated my own server this morning, I know when I post its available in the whole Fediverse. As I post to the whole Fediverse I think that’s pretty inclusive, let’s not get hung up about a hashtag.
@NickF we have people here in ‘my’ circles who are of the opinion that the ‘Mastodon is the Fediverse’.
Unfortunately, this always leads to confusion for new people, because other services can do more.
Don't hold it against me if I approached you like that, it would be cool if you could also include FediBridges or a similar hashtag as well
@crossgolf_rebel I do understand your point entirely, I even invented my own MyOccasionalBridges when I joined, but found most other users here use the bridges of mastodon hashtag, I will consider making a fedi version for my next bridge! love & light
@NickF I started out like that until I realised how marginalising it is for other services. Also because I've come a long way through the Fediverse myself and was a big fan of mastodon in the meantime.
At some point, I added Fediverse to my hashtags and then only used mastodon myself when it came to the software or the developer.
This has become a little more relative due to the company policy of the inventor and his view of the Fediverse.
In addition, the other services are much better (for me) and have many more features.

Have you seen the video about Sharkey? I use a similar access to the Fediverse

@crossgolf_rebel I added #FediverseBridges to the post and will use it on future bridge posts. I had not heard of Sharkey, but have bookmarked the video to watch tonight, it sounds interesting, thanks. I will explore the fediverse more, I have only really paid attention to mastodon and pixlefed, I will try and explore the rest.
@NickF
Thank you very much and very much

Mastodon is a software that unfortunately hides which service your dialogue partners use
As you can see in the picture, the logo and lettering on our site show which software my counterpart uses

I don't really know many articles in English, unfortunately my English isn't good enough for that and that always annoys me.
Maybe the link can still help you.

@NickF something off topic, do you play golf?
This weekend is the World Cross Golf Championships and there is never a team from Wales, Scotland or England taking part in the championships

if you know someone you can write to, please let me know
@crossgolf_rebel Sorry I don't play golf or know anyone who does, I'm not the sporty type!
